"Two Years Before the Mast" Reading Marathon
Dana Point Historical Society seeks readers for its Fifth Annual Public Reading in March

Celebrating Richard Henry Dana Jr.’s bicentennial year, the Dana Point Historical Society presents its fifth annual public reading of the complete text of Dana’s Two Years Before the Mast. Participants read in succession for 8 to 10 minutes each; shown reading at a previous marathon is Carlos Olvera, Dana Point Mayor. The event is free and open to the public.
This year’s reading will be at the Nature Interpretive Center, 34558 Scenic Drive, Dana Point on Friday, March 27 from 1 to 4 pm, Saturday March 28 from 9 am to 6 pm, and Sunday March 29 from 9 am until the book is complete, around noon.
