Woman's Body Discovered On South County Beach

DANA POINT, CA —A woman's body was discovered Sunday at a Dana Point beach near the Ocean Institute, Orange County Sheriff's Department officials said.

Though the OC Coroner's office will determine the official cause of her death, Patch was told by the department spokesperson that there was no sign of foul play.

She was believed to be between 60 and 70 years old, the department said, and her name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The woman's body was found about 9 a.m. near 24200 Dana Point Harbor, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported. The investigation was ongoing.
