Congratulations to UCSD's Class of 2011

UC San Diego hosted several graduation ceremonies Saturday and will continue the celebration throughout the weekend.

More than 7,500 graduates earned diplomas this weekend at UC San Diego.

Three separate commencement ceremonies were held Saturday. Speakers included comedian and actor David Allen Grier. An additional four ceremonies will be held Sunday.

UC San Diego will host 11 commencement ceremonies in total.

The Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences held the university's first commencement ceremonies on May 27. A total of 57 students received their Pharm D. degrees.

The UC San Diego School of Medicine held its commencement ceremony for 149 graduates on June 5.
