Carmen Lomellin, representative to the Organization of American States, will speak about cooperation with Latin America and what it means for the U.S. She will be hosted by the Institute for the Americas on campus.
Lomellin was confirmed by the United States Senate as Permanent U.S. Representative to the Organization of American States, with the rank of Ambassador, on November 20, 2009.
During the Clinton Administration, she held the positions of White House Liaison for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and Director of that agency’s Office of International Affairs.
