Beautification of Coast Boulevard Walk

Come to this community workshop and help beautify the Children's Pool.

The public is invited to this workshop, planned by La Jolla Parks and Beaches, Inc., to gather in front of the Children’s Pool lifeguard tower and record what they see and what they envision to enhance the sidewalk plaza extending from the lifeguard station to the gazebo on the north.  

From 9:30 a.m.-noon, landscape architect Jim Neri, who is directing this project, will lead a discussion session at the Friendship Room at 939 Coast Blvd and talk about:

1. onsite viewing
2. a questionnaire (likes, dislikes, suggestions for structures, etc.)
3. small-group discussions that will instruct design
4. recommendations for the final design to be submitted to the City for approval 

The overall goal of this Coast Boulevard project is to restore the area to its intended state of safe transit, public recreation, education and beauty.
