Cookin' the Kasbah - Moroccan Style

Featuring Cups Culinary Director Jesus Gonzalez, formerly creative chef for Rancho La Puerta & Golden Door spas.

Modern Moroccan cuisine is extremely diverse and wonderfully flavorful, thanks to Morocco’s mix of cultures over the centuries including Berber, Moorish, Mediterranean, and Arab influences.  In this hands-on class, you will learn to make basic staples, like L’Hamd Markad (preserved lemons), Harissa (a North African hot sauce), Ras El Hanout (a Moroccan spice blend), before preparing and sitting down to a meal of Harira (lava & lentil soup), B’Stila B’Dej (chicken B’stila), Tagine Bil Kok (lamb & prune tagine), and finishing off with sweet Haloula Tpolo (chocolate-sesame cones).

$65 6-9pm (Minimum 8, Maximum 16).
