FIDO's Oktoberfest Fundraiser

Leash up your well-behaved pet and come to the first annual Oktoberfest fundraiser at La Jolla Brewhouse for some brats, beer and bow-wows.

The event begins will mingling at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. The feast will include four courses with 12-oz pours paired with each:

  • First course: Onion and Bacon Tart with Humboldt Fog Cheese. New Belgium Hoptober Golden Ale. Vegetarian options available.
  • Second course: Roasted Beet Salad with Walnuts and Goat Cheese. Lightning Thunderweizen.
  • Third course: Bratwurst and Beer Sausages with Apples, Onions and Sauerkraut. Served with German Style Fried Potatoes and Hearty Bavarian Rye Bread. Oceanside Ale Works’ Elevation 83. Vegetarian options available.
  • Fourth course: Vanilla Bean Stout Float. Stone Smoked Porter.

Nearly half of the proceeds from the night will go back to Fiesta Island Dog Owners (FIDO) to support the efforts to secure the fenced off-leash section of Fiesta Island as open and off leash for all time.

Raffle tickets may be purchased and prized donated by community shops and services will be won.

Special guests include: Mark Purciel (proprietor and brewmaster) and Scotty Bevilacqua (lead brewer) from Oceanside Ale Works will be on site to talk about their experiences with beers, starting a brewery from scratch and beer production.
