Hansen Surfboards Makes Way for Epic Ski Season with Back to School & End of Summer Sale

It’s hot as blazes outside and Hansen Surfboards is already planning for an epic ski season. The store is clearing out some of its summer wear and items with its annual Back to School and End of Summer Sale and making room for snow gear. Running August 15 through 23 in the store’s parking lot at 1105 S. Coast Hwy. 101 in Encinitas, Calif., the sale will feature big discounts on swimwear, summer clothing, gear and more.

Open Monday, Tuesday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the sale will include 30 to 50 percent off men’s, ladies’, and kid’s swimwear and sportswear. Surfboards will be marked $50 to $100 off, and wetsuits, rashguards and bodyboards will be up to 30 percent off. Select shoes, sandals, and backpacks will be up to 30 to 50 percent off, making Hansen Surfboards a perfect place for parents to outfit their kids in the coolest back to school gear.

“This year’s ski season is forecasted to be epic,” said Josh Hansen. “If you remember 1997 to 1998 when we had El Nino and our local slopes had record snowfalls, this season is expected to be even better. Our Back to School and Summer Sale is all about clearing out warm weather clothes and gear so we can make room for winter gear. But we’ll always stay true to our original roots as a surf shop and sell sportswear, swimsuits and surfboards year round.”

In fact, the store’s Boardroom boasts hundreds of surfboards and surf accessories. Knowledgeable sales associates are on hand to match customers to the perfect surfboard and gear appropriate for their level to help them have the best surf experience possible. The store was also recently expanded for customers’ convenience, and the extra space accommodates more shoes and sandals.

The store is not just for surfers or extreme sports lovers. Hansen Surfboards also has a wide selection, making it appealing for everyone in the family. Selections include a wide variety of shoes displayed in the store’s newly remodeled shoe room, stylish clothing, casual shorts and board shorts for men, and swimsuits for women and children, as well as accessories, home décor and gifts.

Additional options are available just south of the main store at the Rip Curl by Hansen’s store, where shoppers can check out the company’s best-selling Rip Curl bikinis, board shorts, wetsuits and accessories.
