Katharine McPhee to Play La Jolla
Katharine McPhee, most known for her rise to fame on "American Idol," will perform at the Salk Institute in La Jolla in August.
Singer Katharine McPhee will headline the 18th annual Symphony at Salk-a concert under the stars fundraiser in August. McPhee, an American Idol alum, singer and songwriter, will perform with the San Diego Symphony and acclaimed guest conductor Maestro Thomas Wilkins.
Funds raised at this annual event support Salk Institutes for Biological Studies’ research and community education programs.
Individual tickets for Symphony at Salk go on sale July 8. Tickets are $250 and can be purchased on online or by calling 858-597-0657.

Local philanthropist Conrad Prebys is the exclusive underwriter of the Symphony. Frederik Paulsen, Chairman of Ferring International, underwrote McPhee’s performance.
