La Jolla Historical Society Hosts Reception and Silent Movies From the 1920s.

Would you like to see an exhibit of historic La Jolla photos and silent films made in La Jolla in the 1920s?

The La Jolla Historical Society is hosting an evening reception August 20th to view the Archive La Jolla exhibit and silent movies.

The exhibit at La Jolla Historical Society’s Wisteria Cottage provides a window into La Jolla’s past from 1887 to today. The movies are period melodramas filmed in La Jolla in the 1920s at locations including Casa de Manana and local homes and gardens.

Enjoy a glass of wine, appetizers and music at the exhibit, and then silent movies on the lawn under the stars. The reception is from 5:30 to 7:30 pm and the movie starts at 8:00 pm. There is no charge.
