La Jollan Appointed President of Jewish Federation of SD County

Michael Sonduck had been the Federations's interim leader since March.

Michael Sonduck was appointed president and CEO of the Jewish Federation of San Diego County, the organization announced today.

Sonduck had been the federation's interim leader since last March, and been associated with the organization since 2004.

"As interim CEO for the past 10 months, we were fortunate to observe Michael's skills in many areas, especially in helping us forge a new purpose and strategy for our federation and building improved relationships with our partners and donors," said Claire Ellman, the group's board chair. "We are so fortunate that his seven years prior experience with our federation afforded us the added benefit of a smooth transition.

Sonduck, a former management consultant who lives in La Jolla, is an author, public speaker and synagogue board member.

The federation says it is dedicated to building a vibrant and inclusive local Jewish community and enhancing the well-being of Jews in San Diego, Israel and around the world.
