LJVMA Swears In New Board Members
The La Jolla Village Merchants Association held a special meeting to swear in new board members on Oct. 25.

The La Jolla Village Merchants Association met Tuesday morning to swear in three new and three re-elected board members. The group, which manages the Business Improvement District funds and promotes La Jolla, met at the La Jolla Woman's Club.
Debbie Newell of , James Niebling of , and Anthony J. Scoma DDS of Anthony J. Scoma, DDS Pediatric Dentistry all pledged to serve the board for three-year terms.
Incumbents Claudette Berwin of , Kate Brainard of (who was absent), and Leon Chow of were also welcomed to new terms.

In addition, the Merchants Association elected officers. Tom Brady of La Jolla Cottage Rentals will serve as treasurer. Newell will serve as secretary. Nancy Warwick of will serve as vice president and Phil Coller of as president. Brady, Warwick and Coller retained their positions and Newell replaced Sheila Fortune of Aquamoreé, who recently resigned from the board.
The La Jolla Village Merchants Association's next weeking is at 8:30 a.m., Nov. 9 at the Cuvier Club, 7776 Eads Ave., La Jolla.
