Ocean Beach Oktoberfest
10th annual Ocean Beach Oktoberfest festival will be Oct. 10 and 11. It will feature live music, a beer garden, contests, and cash prizes.

The two-day festival kicks off Friday afternoon with live music in the 21 and older beer garden, which will continue on Saturday.
Admission to the beer garden is a $3 donation. Saturday will also include a beachside all-ages stage and food and craft vendor area, and traditional Oktoberfest contests including bratwurst-eating and stein-holding competitions. There will also be the annual Sausage Toss Competition, which has a $10,000 cash reward.
The Saturday morning festivities kick-off at 9 a.m. with the third annual Brat Trot, a fundraiser with Ocean Beach Community Foundation to promote local youth sports. All ages are invited to participate; registration costs $20 per family for the 2K Family Fun Run at 9 a.m. and $30 per person for the 5K Beach Run to follow at 10 a.m.

Saturday’s Oktoberfest will include performances by the traditional Ompah Band, Lobster Bob special emcee Jose Sinatra and many local musical acts.
This year the event shuttle win run between the 710 Beach Club in Pacific Beach and the festival on Friday. It will deliver people to the festival from various locations throughout the day Saturday, with the last shuttle leaving Ocean Beach at 10 p.m.
