Paraglider Crashes Onto Black's Beach Cliff

La Jolla, CA — A paraglider crashed onto the cliffs above Black's Beach near Torrey Pines in La Jolla Wednesday, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department reported.

As of about 2 p.m, lifeguards had responded to the scene, which was about a quarter-mile north of Torrey Pines Gliderport, a fire department spokesman told City News Service.

The paraglider was not injured, but lifeguards were working to help him down from the cliff, NBC7 San Diego reported.

The Gliderport stopped service while the rescue was under way, according to NBC7.
