Photographer Peter Lik Unveils New Photo Taken in La Jolla
Come see famed photographer Peter Lik's newest photo taken in La Jolla at a local gallery.
A special unveiling of a photograph from the Ansel Adams of our time is happening this weekend at a local art gallery and you can be a part of it.
Peter Lik, the self-taught Australian photographer who’s known for his limited editions of photographs, has a new piece and he’s unveiling it in a special way. On Saturday, Lik fans can flock to the nearest gallery and watch the unveiling of his new work, .” The photo taken in La Jolla reportedly depicts a “serene ocean view of the moon.”
Lucky for La Jollans, there’s a Lik gallery right here on Prospect Street that will be showing off the photograph.

“It’s one of the biggest events of the year,” said Gallery Director Matt Netterville. “It’s a red carpet event and we’ll probably have around 500 people.”
Lik La Jolla holds 600 of Peter’s photographs, with some of them shot right here in our town.

“There’s about six to 10 from La Jolla,” Netterville said. “Both 'Solace' and 'Endless Summer' are of Scripps Pier.”
Other shots in the gallery include a stunning sunset at Windansea and Pacific Beach.
“Moonlight Reflections,” which will be revealed in Saturday’s event, will be simultaneously shown at the 13 other Lik galleries throughout the U.S. and Australia. Lik will be at a special party in Las Vegas for the celebration.
Only 950 editions of “Moonlight Reflections” will be released. You can purchase one at Lik La Jolla, along with the other 600 photos the gallery holds.
