Photos: ASID Showcases Five Homes in Self-Guided Remodel Tour

The tour on May 19 includes a Wisconsin-style "Lake House" on the La Jolla oceanfront, tennis star Bobby Riggs' 1970's remodeled mid-century in Ramona and three North County homes.

The San Diego Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) is hosting a self-guided tour dubbed “Spaces Re-Imagined and Re-Invited” of five recently remodeled residences including a La Jolla home next week.

Designers will be at each of the homes in La Jolla, San Marcos, Rancho Bernardo and Ramona to discuss the remodel and answer questions.

According to ASID, “Interior designer Holly Robinson, of Interior Concepts, reinterpreted the owner’s memories of her family’s 1920’s Wisconsin summer lake cottage on a stunning oceanfront site in La Jolla. The new home has the charm and trappings that attracted generations of the O’Rourke family to spend summers at the lake, including a bunk room, secret room, sleeping porch, reading alcove, plenty of bathrooms, and a painting studio where everyone can gather. All of the rooms have ocean views, except for one with its own porch and garden.”
