Resilience Workshops To Teach Skills to LJES Parents

The next Resilience Workshop at La Jolla Elementary School will be held Wednesday, Oct. 17.

La Jolla Elementary School will continue to host the five-week series of Resilience Workshops for parents and caregivers of LJES students next Wednesday. The first of the workshops began on Wednesday, Oct. 10, and will continue for the next four Wednesdays.

Susan Wais, Ph.D., renowned psychologist in the field of positive psychology, will lead the workshops and teach parents how to build upon the lessons she has taught teachers on how to recognize children’s character strengths, and reinforce lessons and skills to become more resilient.

Workshops are free of charge to all parents and caregivers of La Jolla Elementary students and will be held in the LJES library from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
