"We are planning the 2026 Mira Mesa Independence Day Celebration. There will be fireworks set off from the fields by Wangenheim Middle School at 9:00 PM on July 3rd, 2026. There will be a community picnic from 4 PM to 9:30 PM at Hourglass Field Community Park leading up to the fireworks. There will be food trucks, vendor and crafter booths. There will be a car show in the parking lot on the north side of the field starting at 4:00 PM."
