UCSD Commencement Ceremonies Held All Weekend Long
UC San Diego kicks off commencement weekend with an All Campus Graduation Celebration on Friday. Ceremonies and festivities continue throughout the weekend.
UC San Diego held an All Campus Graduation Celebration on Friday to collectively celebrate and honor all 7,535 graduates in the class of 2011. The all-campus event featured a keynote speech from alumnus and researcher Albert Lin, who has been called a modern-day Indiana Jones for his efforts to find the unmarked tomb of Genghis Khan.
UC San Diego will host 11 commencement ceremonies in total.
The Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences held the university's first commencement ceremonies on May 27. A total of 57 students received their Pharm D. degrees.

The UC San Diego School of Medicine held its commencement ceremony for 149 graduates on June 5.
Three commencement ceremonies will be held today. Speakers include actor David Allen Grier.

Another four ceremonies will be held Sunday and UC San Diego’s Rady School of Management will host its ceremony on June 18.
