UCSD Opens Up Art Facility to Public

Visit UC San Diego April 7 to view some beautiful art from MFA and PhD students.

Looking for some visual stimulation? UC San Diego (UCSD) is holding an open studios event that will provide an aesthetically-pleasing experience.

MFA & PhD Art Practice Open Studios on April 7 will coincide with a and . The public is invited to visit the UCSD campus from 1-7 p.m. for an “open studios” experience, where art from MFA and PhD students will be on full display for all to see.

Visitors will step inside 50 MFA artist studios and interact with the emerging talent on campus. Have a question about a piece of art that inspires you? Artists will be on site to contextualize their work, answer questions and engage in conversation.

In addition to showcasing the work of the visual arts department's MFA candidates, the PhD in Art Practice students will also open their studios to the public. You can click here to see all participating artists and a sneak peek of some of their work you’ll be able to view at the Open Studios event.

Visit the Visual Arts Facility on UCSD’s campus on April 7 from 1-7 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. The campus offers free weekend parking.
