1 Dies In Fatal Lakeland Village Crash
A driver sheared off a fire hydrant and then collided with a tree in the deadly crash midday Wednesday.

LAKELAND VILLAGE, CA — One person died in a single-car crash midday Wednesday, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
Shortly before 12:30 p.m., a vehicle struck a fire hydrant and then slammed into a tree, according to reports. The crash occurred near the 14900 block of Amorose Street in Lakeland Village, the unincorporated area near Lake Elsinore.
Elsinore Municipal Water District assisted at the scene to shut off the hydrant, and California Highway Patrol was investigating the fatal crash.
