RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A Corona man remained behind bars Wednesday following his June 16 arrest in an alleged 2010 rape, and police believe there may be other victims.

Marlon Acosta, 31, was taken into custody by Riverside police just after 8 p.m. on Hibiscus Street in Corona and was booked into Riverside's Robert Presley Detention Center, according to jail records.

Court records show Acosta was formally charged with unlawful bodily injury/sexual penetration by means of force with a sentence-enhancing kidnapping allegation, sodomy by force/violence/duress/menace or fear, kidnapping to commit robbery/rape, rape upon an intoxicated person, and assault with intent to commit rape — all felonies.
