• Coroner IDs Lake Elsinore Man As Crash Victim, 3 Others Injured In Menifee (patch.com) — Lake Elsinore residents are being asked to stay alert after a 67-year-old man from the city was killed in a head-on crash on Newport Road in Menifee, which also left three others hospitalized. Police say a BMW crossed the center median into oncoming traffic, and investigators are still working to determine what caused the collision and whether impairment was involved.
   

• Lake Elsinore To Hold Emergency Preparedness Workshop Sept. 19 (patch.com) — Lake Elsinore is hosting a free emergency preparedness workshop on Sept. 19 at the Lowe's on Central Avenue, offering residents hands-on training and tips from first responders. Running from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the event focuses on practical skills, tools, and planning to help local families stay ready for disasters. Residents can contact the city's Emergency Services Department for details.
   

• Storm Held to Just Two Hits, Fall 11-1 for Third Straight Loss (mlb.com) — Lake Elsinore's Single-A Storm dropped their third straight game, falling 11–1 to San Jose at Diamond Stadium after being held to just two hits. The Giants have now outscored Lake Elsinore by 17 runs in the first two games of the series. The Storm look to rebound Thursday night at home, with first pitch set for 6:05 p.m.
