2. Sewer Work Prompts Closure Of Riverside Drive In Lake Elsinore (patch.com) — Lake Elsinore residents should plan ahead as eastbound Riverside Drive will close between Lake Crest Drive and Lincoln Street starting Wednesday, Sept. 9, for sewer improvement work. The city is keeping westbound lanes open, but urges drivers to use the Grand Avenue–Machado Street–Lincoln Street detour, allow extra travel time, and drive cautiously through the construction zone.
3. Gymnast Parkours Into RivCo In-N-Out To Save Workers From Customer Rampage: Video (patch.com) — A dramatic confrontation unfolded at the Dexter Avenue In-N-Out in Lake Elsinore when a woman allegedly stormed the kitchen with a stick-like weapon after complaining about her burger. A 20-year-old former gymnast, waiting in the drive-thru, leapt feet-first through the window and used a spatula to stop the attack, allowing employees to escape unharmed and turning the incident into a viral local moment.
4. Lake Elsinore Officials Encouraging Residents To Be Prepared For Storm (patch.com) — Lake Elsinore officials are urging residents to get ready for this weekend's expected rain by clearing gutters and drains, checking roofs, and securing outdoor items. They're also reminding people to prepare emergency supplies for family and pets, and to drive cautiously on wet roads, avoiding flooded areas and allowing extra stopping distance.
5. Southwest RivCo Residents: Donate Blood To Earn Tickets To Howl-O-Scream Event (patch.com) — Lake Elsinore residents can score a free ticket to SeaWorld San Diego's Howl-O-Scream by donating blood through the San Diego Blood Bank during September, including a drive at Lake Elsinore Storm Stadium on Sept. 4. The promotion aims to collect 10,000 donations, with eligibility based on age, weight, and general health, and walk-ins welcome at participating drives.
