Art And History Collide In Lake Elsinore This Weekend

A public art exhibit is being installed, while historians will showcase the city's 125 years.

Artists and historians will converge in Lake Elsinore this weekend to showcase their contributions to the city.

Saturday, starting at 9 a.m. along the Riverwalk that follows Alberhill Creek from Riverside Drive to downtown, come see mosaic tile works installed by residents and the local artists group Studio 395. The public effort began earlier this year and now is permanently installed along the newly opened public walk.

Visitors to the area Saturday can also see the interior of the historic Tank House situated near the Riverwalk. There will be an open house at the famous structure following the public art installation dedication ceremony. The Tank House is situated in the parking lot of the Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce, 132 West Graham Ave. The Tank House contains historical items pertaining to Lake Elsinore's 125-year history.
