City Of Wildomar Announces Funding Opportunity For Local Nonprofits

Special emphasis will be given to projects that have a direct/specific benefit to the city of Wildomar and its residents.

The following is a press release from the city of Wildomar:

WILDOMAR, CA — The Wildomar City Council has initiated a special one-time funding program
for Fiscal Year 2022/23 for non-profit public service organizations. This program will replace the
City’s typical Community Development Block Program (CDBG) funding cycle for this next fiscal
year only. Applications will be accepted from August 24, 2022 to September 22, 2022 (by 4 pm).
Eligible non-profit organizations (501(c)(3)) are invited to apply for the funding. The funding
application package can be downloaded by clicking on the following link:

The City will only accept electronic copies of your proposal packages (PDF format only). When
you are ready submit your application proposal package, you may use the following link to upload your application package: https://wildomar.sharefile.com/r-re36d25a53c134b2f81019a94b7d7e6c6. The City will be automatically notified when the application package is submitted.

To be eligible for this one-time, in-lieu funding program, your program must still satisfy one of the standard HUD national objectives, including: 1) provide a benefit to low- and moderate-income persons, 2) prevent or eliminate slums and blight, or 3) meet other urgent community development needs due to natural disasters or other emergencies. Application packages not meeting this criteria will not be considered for funding.

The City Council will review program applications with special emphasis given to projects that
have a direct/specific benefit to the City of Wildomar and its residents. The funding is limited to
a total amount of $17,500. Final determination will be made by the City Council at a regular
meeting tentatively scheduled for October 12, 2022.
