Coroner ID's Corona Man Killed Early Sunday On The 91 Freeway

A 21-year-old man died just after 3 a.m. Sunday just west of Serfas Club Drive on the Eastbound 91 Freeway.

CORONA, CA — A 21-year-old Corona died after being struck by a vehicle on the 91 Freeway in Corona, authorities said Monday.

The crash occurred just before 3 a.m. Sunday on the eastbound Riverside Freeway west of Serfas Club Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Cory Hunter, a resident of Corona, was identified by the Riverside County Coroner's office as the victim of that incident.

The initial report said that a person was lying on the freeway before being struck by a vehicle.

California Highway Patrol was investigating the fatality.
