The CHP says a man and woman died at the scene of the fiery wreck.

LA CRESTA, CA — A man and woman both died after they crashed near Murrieta on Monday night, the California Highway Patrol reports. The duo, both in their 50s and from Murrieta, were headed around a curve along a La Cresta road when the wreck occurred, the agency said.
The crash was first reported around 10:50 p.m. in the area of Avenida De Arboles and Palo Alto Lane, according to CHP Officer Mike Lassig. Only one car was involved, a 2010 Mercedes sedan.
"Vehicle # 1 collided into a metal speaker intercom and two brick pillars where it caught on fire and became fully engulfed," Lassig said in a news release.
