Deadly Lake Elsinore Shooting: Second Suspect Arrested

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A second arrest has been announced in the November slaying of a 19-year-old Wildomar man who was gunned down in Lake Elsinore — and a third suspect was still being sought.

Bryan Richard King, 21, was taken into custody by Lake Elsinore deputies at 11 a.m. Monday on E. Denwall Drive in Carson, the city in which he lived, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

King was booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of murder and several weapons' charges in connection with last month's shooting in the 100 block of Riley Street in Lake Elsinore that killed Blake Paine.

King remained jailed Friday with no bail set; he is due in court Monday.

Paine was found shot around 4:30 p.m. November 8. He was hospitalized but died from his injuries, the sheriff's department reported.

Just days after Paine's death, Joshua Emanuel Navarro, 18, of Lake Elsinore was arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the slaying. He remains jailed at Cois Byrd Detention Center with his next court appearance scheduled in March.

Sheriff's investigators believe a third suspect was involved in the killing, but information about that person has not been released.

A possible motive for the deadly shooting has not been disclosed.
