Earthquake Felt In Lake Elsinore

The USGS received more than 1,000 reports from people who felt the shaker.

A 3.1 magnitude temblor north of Moreno Valley was felt Sunday night in parts of the Inland Empire, including Lake Elsinore, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake struck at 8:59 p.m. Sunday about three miles north of Moreno Valley and five miles southeast of Loma Linda, according to the USGS.

By 9:30 p.m., the USGS received more than 1,000 reports from people who felt the shaker.

The quake struck at a depth of 6.3 miles, according to the USGS.

There are no reports of damage or injury.
