Final Lake Elsinore, Wildomar 2022 Election Results: Winners Declared

LAKE ELSINORE-WILDOMAR, CA — Wildomar will see a change on its City Council and the Lake Elsinore Unified School District governing board will see three new faces starting next year.

The changes are official after final certified results for Riverside County's Nov. 8, 2022, General Election were posted Thursday night by the Registrar of Voters, though recounts can still be requested through Tuesday.

The newly elected leaders are:

Lake Elsinore Unified School Board, Trustee Area 1 (incumbent was Marybeth Slane)

• April Purkiss

Lake Elsinore Unified School Board, Trustee Area 2 (incumbent was Genie Kelley)

• Jennette Vanderpool

Lake Elsinore Unified School Board, Trustee Area 5 (incumbent was Christopher McDonald)

• Jill Juanita Leonard

State Assembly, 63rd Assembly District (Lake Elsinore only) (no incumbent ran in this race)

• Bill Essayli

Wildomar City Council District 1 (no incumbent ran in this race)

• Carlos Marquez

Wildomar City Council District 5

• Joseph Morabito (incumbent)

Riverside County Auditor-Controller (incumbent was Paul Angulo)

• Ben Benoit*

State Senate, 32nd Senatorial District (no incumbent ran in this race)

• Kelly Seyarto

State Assembly, 71st District (Wildomar only) (no incumbent ran in this race)

• Kate Sanchez

U.S. Representative, 41st Congressional District

• Ken Calvert (incumbent)

*Note: Ben Benoit represented Wildomar City Council, District 1. He will be succeeded in the city by Carlos Marquez.
