Fire Sparks Off I-15 Northbound Near Temescal Canyon

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Cal Fire/ Riverside County Fire Department crews rushed to quell a brushfire alongside northbound Interstate 15 Friday morning.

The blaze was first reported at 11 a.m. and originated near Indian Truck Trail and I-15 in Temescal Valley, according to Karina Espinoza of Cal Fire.

The small blaze, roughly 20 feet by 20 feet, was quickly contained. Firefighters would remain in the area until at least 12:15 p.m. to douse any hot spots.
