Firefighters Stop Forward Progress Of Riverside Brush Fire
Personnel from Cal Fire Riverside also responded to the second-alarm fire, which was burning near the city border line.

RIVERSIDE, CA — Firefighters Sunday battled a half-acre brush fire in the Box Springs Preserve in Riverside, the Riverside Fire Department announced.
The brusher was reported at 9:21 a.m. Sunday near Northgate Street and Marlborough Avenue.
Personnel from Cal Fire Riverside also responded to the second-alarm fire, which was burning near the city border line. Firefighters were able to stop the fire's forward progress in just over an hour.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
