Freeway Work to Partially Close 71/91 Interchange This Weekend
Crews will be resurfacing portions of the interchange as part of the "91 Project Fast Forward."
CORONA, CA- Accessing the Corona (71) Expressway from the Riverside (91) Freeway will not be possible this weekend due to road work.
According to the Riverside County Transportation Commission, both connectors to the northbound 71 will be shut down from 9 p.m. Friday until 4 a.m. Monday.

Both transition ramps to the 91 from the southbound 71 will remain open during the work, and southbound travel should not be disrupted at any time, according to the RCTC.
Motorists needing to access the northbound 71 are advised to use the Pomona (60) Freeway, Interstate 10, or take the 91 to the Orange (57) Freeway through Diamond Bar.

The 71/91 interchange is scheduled to be partially closed again for another round of resurfacing during the weekend of Dec. 18-21/.
The $1.3 billion 91 project got underway early last year and entails widening the east-west corridor between the Orange County line and I-15, with new traffic lanes and ramps, as well as additional shoulder space and wider surface streets in the vicinity of the freeway.
