CORONA, CA — Homeowners buy doorbell cameras to protect their property and to help police sketch together a case if a crime occurs. Recently in Corona, California, video showed something else — a good deed and proof to a resident that “good Samaritans do still exist.”

The video, as seen on the Neighbors app, shows a man walking his dogs go up to the front door of a home and leaving something behind. It turned out to be the resident’s keys — which, in the hands of an unscrupulous person, could have resulted in a much-less-positive outcome.

“Whoever this person is,” the resident who posted the video wrote, “thank you for returning my keys.”

The person who found the keys was able to do some detective work to track down the rightful owner, who isn’t sure how that was accomplished but appreciates having them back.
