MURRIETA, CA — A six-week diaper drive led by Murrieta-based 102.5 The Vine FM brought in 10,761 diapers for families across Southwest Riverside County, according to the station in a recent news release. The total was announced during the station's Inaugural Celebration of Ministry Dinner at The Awakening Church in Murrieta.

The station said the collection exceeded its original goal.

The Vine hosts six diaper drop locations across Southwest Riverside County in its annual Great Diaper Drive. According to the station, local business sponsors included JC Plumbing, WSDM Water, TechBridge Global Services, Urban Air, Uptown Jungle, and Zen Curry and Grill. Forever Lawn served as the ongoing drop-off location sponsor during the campaign.

The event was led for the second year by presenting sponsor Dr. Michael Andersen, OB-GYN, according to the station. College Hunks provided storage and transportation for the donated diapers, the station reported.

All donated diapers were distributed on Monday to Elsinore Valley Pregnancy Resource Center and Birth Choice of Temecula, two organizations serving mothers and families in need.

Rita Wears of Elsinore Valley Pregnancy Resource Center described the scale of local need.

“We give out about a thousand diapers a day, and it meets a great need in our community,” Wears said. She shared that rising costs are forcing some families to make difficult decisions, including stretching diaper usage to afford other necessities such as food.

Chris Thompson, general manager of 102.5 The Vine FM, discussed the campaign and its broad community support.

“This drive is a beautiful example of what happens when our community comes together with compassion and purpose,” Thompson said. “Every single diaper represents care, dignity, and support for a family walking through a critical season.”

The station thanked individuals, families, and businesses that contributed to the drive's results. For more information about 102.5 The Vine FM and future community initiatives, the station directed readers to www.TheVineFM.org.
