Lake Elsinore DUI Crackdown Scheduled

From 8 p.m. December 31 to 2 a.m. January 1, the station warned it will conduct a "saturation patrol" in Lake Elsinore.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station will be out in force New Year's Eve and into the wee hours of 2021 looking for drivers suspected of getting behind the wheel while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

From 8 p.m. December 31 to 2 a.m. January 1, the station warned it will conduct a "saturation patrol" in Lake Elsinore. Drivers caught under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or some prescription or over-the-counter medications, could face arrest.

Drivers charged with DUI can face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, and a suspended license, the station reported.
