Lake Elsinore Rotary Club Honors April Teachers of the Month

From the Rotary Club of Lake Elsinore:

Lake Elsinore, CA: The Rotary Club of Lake Elsinore honored three teachers on Wednesday, April 13 at the Teacher of the Month Program. The Lake Elsinore Unified School District teachers were recognized for their dedication and work at their schools. April’s honorees are Amalia Carter, Sheila Fairbanks, and Pete Rettinger.

Amalia Carter, recognized by principal, Dr. Peter Hopping, teaches Spanish at Lakeside High School. Sheila Fairbanks teaches at Keith McCarthy Academy and was recognized by Principal Ryan Mulvanny. Pete Rettinger was recognized by Dr. John Hurst, principal of Elsinore High School, for his work.

“Every month, I am amazed by the dedicated teachers we have right here in Lake Elsinore. They are an inspiration to us all,” said president of the Lake Elsinore Rotary Club, Dee Thomas.

The Teacher of the Month program is hosted on the third Wednesday of every month during the school year at the Lake Elsinore Rotary Club meeting. The Club meets at 7:00 AM at the Ortega Conference Center at 520 Chaney St. for the event. Public is welcome to attend the awards or Rotary’s weekly meetings.

The Rotary Club of Lake Elsinore meets on Wednesday mornings at 7:00 a.m. at the Ortega High School Conference Center at 520 Chaney St., Lake Elsinore. The Rotary Club of Lake Elsinore also has an evening and online extension of the club.
