Lake Elsinore-Wildomar Gasoline Price Drops to Lowest Amount Since April 17

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped Monday to its lowest amount since April 17, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $3.128.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has dropped for 38 consecutive days and 64 of the past 66, decreasing $1.07, including 1.3 cents on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 14.4 cents less than one week ago, 54.7 cents lower than one month ago and 57.5 cents below what it was one year ago.

The decreases follow a nine-day streak of increases totaling 72.1 cents that pushed the average price to its highest amount since May 12, 2014.

The average price dropped for 26 consecutive days, rose a total of 5.8 cents from Aug. 13-14, then resumed declining on Aug. 15.
