Lake Elsinore, Wildomar Residents Get Help Paying Rent, Utilities

The United Lift program will cover up to 12 months of back rent and utilities and up to three months of future rent.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Lake Elsinore residents who need assistance paying rent or utilities bills can find out if they're eligible for financial assistance during a pop-up event hosted next week by the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District.

The United Lift Rental & Utility Assistance Program event takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 16 at EVMWD headquarters, 31315 Chaney Street.

The program is designed to aid residents who are financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The program will cover up to 12 months of back rent and utilities and up to three months of future rent. Assistance is being given without regard to immigration status, according to United Lift.

Applicants who plan to attend the Aug. 16 event must bring photo identification, current lease agreement, landlord email and phone number, proof of financial loss due to COVID-19, proof of household income.

Appointments can be made for the upcoming event by calling 951-674-3146, option 1.

Can't make the upcoming event or you don't live near Lake Elsinore? The United Lift Rental & Utility Assistance Program is also being offered to all eligible Riverside County residents online.

This round of funding is supported by federal funds. The Riverside County Board of Supervisors in February voted to approve $57,267,219 in emergency rental and utility assistance program funding from the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
