Man, Woman Found Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide In Lake Mathews Area

The man and woman, both residents of Glendale, were found dead inside a vehicle.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A man and a woman died in an apparent murder-suicide over the weekend in Riverside County, authorities said.

The Glendale Police Department alerted the Riverside County Sheriff's Department shortly before 9:30 a.m. Sunday that two people had threatened suicide and were possibly in the area of Cajalco Road and La Sierra Avenue in the Lake Mathews area, according to the sheriff's department.

"Deputies assigned to the Lake Mathews Sheriff's Station responded to the area and located a vehicle with two deceased individuals inside," Sgt. Jarred Bishop said in a news release.

The people found dead were identified as Matthew Haze, 54, and Naomi Haneji-Haze, 53, both residents of Glendale in Los Angeles County, Bishop said. The case was being investigated as a murder-suicide.

"Due to the ongoing investigation, no additional information will be released," Bishop said.
