Naked Man Caught At Elsniore Bus Bench: Police

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A once-naked-now-clothed man was briefly locked up at the French Valley jail after getting arrested on indecent exposure charge; allegedly caught sitting in the nude at a Lake Elsinore bus stop on Thursday, sheriff's reports indicate.

According to sheriff's sgt. Luke Torres, 22-year-old Roberto Martinez was taken into custody around 8 a.m.

"The reporting party indicated the suspect was sitting on a bus bench completely nude, as citizens were walking and driving past," Torres said in a news release. "Upon arrival, deputies located the suspect and he was taken into custody without incident."

Martinez was taken to the Cois Bird Detention Center. Jail records indicate he was booked into the facility Thursday morning, but released from custody on $2,500 bail the same day.

Additional details as to why the man may have been wearing only his birthday suit were not available.
