NEW WATER CONTINGENCY PLAN HEARING TONIGHT!
More Water Regulations Coming Tonight. Contingency Plan. More WMWD Restrictions.
Western Municipal Water District is holding their public hearing on the new contingency plan tonight. Come and let them know how you feel about further restricting your resources while doing nothing to restrict those resources from others. The residential rate payer is the only one that will be affected by this new plan as all new construction as well as any business’ do not see any restrictions until they hit alert stage 4 which has not yet happened even in our recent extreme droughts. I simply feel if we have such a need to conserve resources, we should simply all be in it together and we should all be treated equally. Residents whom are already struggling to pay their bills should not be forced to restrict their natural resources so others can continue to be wasteful and not be held to the same standards, it is simply unfair.
Unfortunately with the current representation on the board, it has been my experience for the past 4+ years that they will simply decide to review the comments if they are strong enough and postpone the vote for another board meeting when people will not be there. We NEED representation that will actually make decisions based on the facts and their constituents needs and not just the need of their campaign contributors.
Come make your voices heard tonight as what happens at WMWD will directly affect all of its retail partners (Lee Lake, Rancho California and Elsinore Valley) as well as other wholesalers to follow suit in the future.
