• Fire Destroys Single-Family Home In Lakeland Village (patch.com) — Residents near Lake Elsinore saw a single-family home in Lakeland Village burn to the ground Monday afternoon after flames quickly consumed the structure and threatened nearby brush. Firefighters contained the blaze on Stoneman Street and stayed for hours dousing hot spots, and officials reported no injuries while investigators work to determine what sparked the fire.
   

• Nick Pivetta Set to Re-Start Rehab Assignment this Week (rotoballer.com) — Baseball fans in Lake Elsinore could soon see Padres pitcher Nick Pivetta back on the mound, as he's slated to restart his rehab assignment with the Single-A Storm after a forearm strain pause earlier this month. His return outing at The Diamond will help determine whether the former 13-game winner can rejoin San Diego's rotation for the stretch run.
