• Landscaping Work May Cause Delays On Highway 74 In Lake Elsinore Starting Sept. 14: Caltrans (patch.com) — Drivers in Lake Elsinore should prepare for delays on Highway 74 next week as Caltrans crews handle tree trimming and weed abatement between Long Canyon and Monte Vista, and later between Morrell and Decker canyons. One-way traffic control with flaggers will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, so motorists are urged to slow down and watch for work-zone signs.
   

• Car Hauler Catches Fire On 15 Freeway In Lake Elsinore: Cal Fire (patch.com) — Morning drivers in Lake Elsinore faced delays after a commercial car hauler caught fire on southbound I-15 near Nichols Road, damaging several vehicles and sparking a small brush fire. Firefighters quickly contained the flames, three freeway lanes were briefly shut down, and all lanes reopened by mid-morning with no injuries reported.
