Brush Fire Burns Through The Night In Eastvale's River Walk Park Area Near Cobble Creek

A stubborn brush fire ignited overnight in the city of Eastvale in the riverbed area near Cobble Creek Drive.

EASTVALE, CA — Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters battled a brush fire Tuesday night in Eastvale that began alongside the Santa Ana River's River Walk Park.

Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly before 9 p.m. near the 7700 block of Cobble Creek Drive, a Riverside County Fire Department spokesperson said. The fire bloomed to nearly 7 acres in size by midnight, they said.

Nearby residents shared on social media that they could see the orange glow of the flames and hear the arriving emergency vehicles, still, no evacuations were ordered.

As of midnight, the fire had burned through under 10 acres of thick vegetation, and there were no injuries, according to the department.
