Sex Offender Sweep Conducted Across Riverside County
The operation was conducted Saturday by the Riverside County Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement Team.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — An enforcement sweep Saturday of 91 registered sex offenders in Riverside County found most are in compliance but more than a dozen likely are not, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The sweep began around 7 a.m. by members of the Riverside County Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement Team. Conducted at several county locations, "91 attempts were made to contact these registrants," the sheriff's department reported.
Seventy-three registrants were in compliance, 16 were suspected of being out of compliance and two were discovered to have recently died, according the sheriff's department.

"Task force officers are completing follow-up investigations into those found to be out of compliance and anticipate additional arrest warrants to be submitted to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution," the sheriff's department said in a released statement.
There was one arrest during the operation. Michael Durbin, 50, of Jurupa Valley was booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of loaded firearms, body armor, a stolen firearm, ammunition and methamphetamine. He was also booked for violating parole.
