Coroner IDs Temecula Man Killed In Lake Elsinore I-15 Crash
The solo-vehicle wreck was reported at about 9:15 a.m. Friday on southbound I-15, near Diamond Drive, according to CHP Officer Mike Lassig.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A 29-year-old Temecula resident who was killed when he crashed Friday morning on Interstate 15 in Lake Elsinore has been identified by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.
Joseph Carlier died in the solo-vehicle wreck that was reported at approximately 9:15 a.m. on southbound I-15, near Diamond Drive/Railroad Canyon Road, according to the coroner.
Carlier was driving a 2023 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck at about 70-75 mph. For reasons still under investigation, the truck drifted from the #1 lane onto the center median and smashed into the concrete divider, California Highway Patrol Officer Mike Lassig said.

The truck then crossed all southbound traffic lanes and crashed into the Diamond Drive bridge abutment.
The truck finally came to a rest on the Diamond Drive offramp.

Carlier was pronounced dead at the scene; no other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation by the CHP. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the CHP, Temecula Area office at 951-466-4300.
