Temporary Lane Closures Begin On Ortega Highway
Closures are scheduled through Thursday.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Portions of Ortega (74) Highway near Lake Elsinore were narrowed to one lane beginning Tuesday while crews conduct maintenance along a stretch of the two-lane corridor, but traffic delays should be minimal, according to Caltrans.
Agency spokeswoman Shelli Lombardo said crews will be cutting vegetation along the shoulders of the highway, as well as repairing gaps, cleaning culverts and sweeping out drains, between Lookout Point and Grand Avenue. The work is scheduled for Tuesday to Thursday, mainly between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
"Crews will work a one-mile segment each day, and one-way traffic control will be in effect," Lombardo said. "Minimal delays are anticipated."
