TRAFFIC ALERT: Another 91 Closure Planned in Corona
Eastbound lanes will be closed overnight, according to the Riverside County Transportation Commission.

CORONA, CA - The Riverside (91) Freeway will be partially shut down Thursday night in Corona to facilitate work on an overpass.
Beginning at about 11 p.m., the eastbound 91 will be closed at Maple Street and will remain out of service until 5 a.m. Friday, according to the Riverside County Transportation Commission.
The agency said the closure is necessary for crews to put temporary supports in place for the revamped Maple Street bridge and install new signage at Lincoln Avenue and the 91. The work is part of the "91 Project Fast Forward."

Eastbound lanes will be gradually reduced at Green River Road between 10 and 11 p.m., with the full closure in effect shortly after 11 p.m.
RCTC officials said motorists will be detoured off the freeway via the Frontage Road exit and routed back to the freeway via Sixth and Main streets. The detour route is roughly two miles.

Road work will be halted in the event of rain, and the closures will be lifted, officials said.
The $1.3 billion "91 Project Fast Forward," which got underway in early 2014, involves widening the east-west corridor between the Orange County line and I-15, with new traffic lanes and ramps, as well as additional shoulder space and expanded surface streets in the vicinity of the freeway. The project is slated for completion sometime next year.
